BEGINNINGS: Hope & Healing
for Families & Friends of a Gay Loved One

BEGINNINGS: Hope & Healing for Families & Friends of a Gay Loved-One CD and guide book

Your Lifeline
After a Loved One Says
"I'm Gay"

This program was specially created for those within the Body of Christ whose loved ones are struggling with homosexuality or are in the gay lifestyle. It is a comprehensive program for families and friends who view homosexual behavior as sinful yet forgivable by God. This program is designed to encourage and equip families and friends in their faith without compromise. Aided by the Holy Spirit, we utilize worship, teaching, healing prayer and the support and encouragement of others to empower BEGINNINGS members.

Pastor Rob Taylor, the author, draws from his own experience as a former homosexual and as one who has a close family member involved in homosexuality.

Two Words That Changed Your Life
"I'm Gay." Hearing these two simple words for the first time means two things - your life just changed and someone you loved is gay. What should you do next? What shouldn't you do? Who do you talk to about this? Where is God in all of this anyway? These questions and others are answered with honesty and sincerity.

"This is a great resource for loved ones. Robert Taylor brings a unique perspective to this subject: he is a former homosexual and has a close family member involved in homosexuality. The questions are helpful for individual or group study. Highly recommended.”

Bob Davies, Director Emeritus, Exodus International, Seattle, WA
Author – Someone I Love is Gay

“Robert Taylor’s BEGINNINGS is a program in which many are in need. He offers the kind of support that people with gay friends or relatives require – guidance that is biblical, truthful, and compassionate. I believe BEGINNINGS has the potential to help people grieve their losses and move forward, and so to avoid the common pitfall of focusing on their loved ones’ problems and thereby losing sight of Jesus.”

Rev. Andrew Comiskey, Founder & Director of Desert Stream Ministries, Kansas City, MO

“In BEGINNINGS, Robert Taylor has captured the heart of the struggle that families and friends of a gay loved on are forced to address, yet seldom understand. With wisdom and humor, the author invites readers to start this arduous journey toward understanding the personal impact of a loved one’s homosexuality upon their daily lives and their faith in a merciful God. It is a long awaited resource that I, as a therapist and teacher, will use to assist those who find themselves facing this unchosen journey as well as those who are learning how to offer them biblically based help.”

Elizabeth Walter RN LPC
Clinical Therapist, Southwest Counseling Associates, Littleton, CO
Adjunct Professor, Denver Seminary, Denver, CO

“The BEGINNINGS Curriculum will help many family member of a gay loved on to work through issues of despair, fear and anger. Hearing the words, “I’m gay” changes your world forever. BEGINNINGS provides a strong hand to lift you out of the dark pit and give you hope again.”
